FBSC started as a couple of friends drinking margaritas at the beach reminisced about simpler times when global pandemics and the COVID-19 (lbs.) didn’t exist. One of the original members’ nicknames is the “sea cow”, and with nothing to do but drink, eat, and surf, Fat Boy Surf Club was born.
The stereotypical surfer is toned and tanned. They’ve got washboard abs and sun-bleached hair that you can see all the way from the beach. But what about the rest of them? The surfers who sit a little lower in the water and take an extra half-second to hoist themselves up to a standing position? We wanted to create a brand for those people. A brand that celebrates surfers who shred, but maybe aren’t so shredded.
